May Keynote Presentations - Highlights & Reflection
The Atlas was presented by A/Prof Rebecca Glauert at the Prevention in Place Conference in Melbourne on 6 May. Hosted by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, this forum brought together experts spanning multiple sectors including youth services, justice, disability and mental health. The keynote, titled ‘Using data to inform decisions and understand impact’ received great positive feedback, highlighting the need to have ready to access data on children and young people in a user-friendly way.
Returning to Perth, the Atlas was presented at the 2025 WACOSS Conference on 14 May. Here, discussions continued on the importance of making data accessible to strengthen place-based approaches, recognising that this must be overseen by strong Indigenous Data Governance structures to ensure people have agency over how their data are presented.
