Supporting Advocacy and Program Delivery at Smiling Mind

The Child and Youth Wellbeing Atlas has provided Smiling Mind one of the few up to date resources available to understand the experiences of Australian children and young people. Smiling Mind is an Australian digital-led, prevention focussed mental health not-for-profit, developing evidence-based resources and programs for building mental fitness skills. The Atlas has been instrumental in supporting their strategic advocacy and program delivery planning, providing vital insights and information to shape their work.

The Atlas has also provided the organisation an example of good practice and practical application of data to help shape thinking around a national child mental health and wellbeing data collection approach. The Atlas model helped Smiling Mind senior staff members drive a collaborative conversation across multiple organisations who are all passionate about improving data availability about child mental health and wellbeing across Australia.
